An interesting thing to note is the UNADJUSTED rate in deaths between the unvaccinated population and the population that received just 1 dose is very similar. [The second dose shows a large improvement over the whole of the reporting period except for the last couple of weeks]. I think this shows 2 things.<p>1) The UK did really well prioritising the distribution of the vaccine to vulnerable groups.<p>2) There is a huge difference in mortality risk of Covid between different population groups. This difference is large enough that the effectiveness of a single dose is hidden from the data unless you adjust for age.
