I am responsible for my life, a physician I hire is responsible for delivering the best advice and assistance they can, but the decisions and the responsibility for them are mine.
The "$X Medical Association", other professional bodies, the government, and whichever Churches we might subscribe to all have no place in this transaction. Their opinions are if not totally irrelevant, certainly overwhelmed by the actuality of the present situation and professional transaction between myself and my doctor.
...how i think the would should be is rarely anything like it actually is.
