The sendmail &quot;debug&quot; thing wasn&#x27;t a security issue until someone talked about it either, right? If only it hadn&#x27;t been disclosed the RTM worm would never have happened...<p>This is like saying &quot;if we don&#x27;t talk about the bad things they never happened.&quot; Stories like this are weaponized nonsense; &quot;the problem exists because of the people saying it exists&quot;

If the system were open to experts that could vet it, and the security of all steps verified by real security experts, this wouldn’t be a story. These systems have been hugely problematic since they were first rolled out by other companies years ago, with unverifiable voting and counting. Dominion only looks like a good guy because Trump and Co. went after them.
