You can read articles behind paywalls by copypasting before the paywall appears

You can Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C before paywall appears and Ctrl+P to MSWord or what have you to read articles. Works on most sites but not all. Edit: This if Outline.com or archive.today doesn't do it.

Thanks, definitely going to try. Someone shared the user agent string for the google bot once, and I saved it in a capable browser and that works pretty well also.

I find disabling Javascript to be quicker. It's a single click if you install a browser extension, or a menu option in Safari's develop menu.

Running NoScript (FF extension) also works as it defaults to no JavaScript until authorised per site.
