My company has a policy of not doing it, but I would support it.<p>People think they are more valuable than other perceive them to be and assume that withdrawing means that it will put pressure on the targets to change.<p>You see in politics at least that isn't what happens. The good people leave, not so good people fill their gaps, and life carries on, just with a not so good slant.<p>You see this with companies. People think their resignations might bring about change. That isn't what happens. Others fill the gap.<p>Better to have the moral people at the table.
That depends on the group. There are lot of manipulative douchebags who use this type work for no other reason other than to prop themselves up. Scrutinize the ppl not the work.
