Ask HN: How to learn and grow when you are the only resource at your company?

1 pointsby workaccount21over 3 years ago
I'm the sole security guy at my midsized MSP (with support from the Sr. staff), tasked with creating our cybersecurity program and helping to transition us into an MSSP role. I'm in my final year of a BA in Cybersecurity, have many certs, and have done a lot of security related projects on my own time but It's hard being the "expert" when everything is new to me in an enterprise environment. My question is how can I still grow and learn when I don't have anyone to learn from, and any other advice/resources that can be offered. Thanks!

if they assign to you more responsibilities every year and they don't change your title something is wrong.
