Compilers for Contrarians

This looks like an interesting series of posts about development of compilers and exploring haskell.

Does it run exclusively in the browser, or does it communicate with a server to compile the code?<p>&gt; Several language features are missing.<p>Does anybody know more about this, e.g. which features? I suspect threading is among them.
