I've been studying the AWS Certified Developer - Associate Guide for the past few weeks and would like to know if it's up-to-date with AWS.
The book in question is a Packt edition, published May, 2019 (Tankariya/Parmar, Second Edition)
If it's outdated what new resources should I look to? (The book originally cost about $40+, and am not keen on paying for it again if AWS docs can fill in the blanks)
Thank you in advance.
The tests don’t cover anything released in the past 6-12 months (the exact window is somewhere on the certification site). With the exception of maybe 1-3 products there shouldn’t be too many differences. Focus on your core knowledge around IAM, VPC, S3 etc then skim the product blogs from the last year to find any important updates. A Cloud Guru offers pretty recent online materials for a subscription fee.
Look into courses by cantrill. Bought the Solutions Architect Associate course, it only cost 40 usd and its updated on the regular. His AWS Developer course is also pretty new, same price
