This story says everything about the state of media today: If there's no blood, find the next best thing. Anything for a click. It's disgusting. Particularly when you realize it is this way for nearly everything. Which means you almost never learn the truth about anything being reported without doing your own digging.
Never mind that this was a historic event where each of the four people on that flight represented something good about humanity. No, they have to talk about someone getting sick and a toilet fan issue.
And, never mind that they raised over $200 million dollars for St. Jude Children's hospital. No, what matters is a toilet! Who are these people?
<rant mode off>
If you want to learn more about this historic event, I highly recommend the five episode series about it on Netflix. It is excellent.
Here's the mission website:
https://inspiration4.com/
I thought is was remarkable that they did not make this about SpaceX. Elon Musk barely shows-up in the documentary. It is all about the people, their stories and the mission.
I am also particularly proud of this moment because we worked for SpaceX on a related contract for a couple of years (can't discuss details).
