Pretty good article, describes what is known as Clown World (everything is upside down, and nothing makes sense, yet people take it seriously).<p>I disagree with the diagnostic on it though. It concludes we're mostly here because of "cowardice". If it were mostly cowardice, that means that people don't fight back because of fear. Instead people actually believe clown world. The article touches on what I think is one of the biggest problems.<p>> Why are so many, especially so many young people, drawn to this ideology? It’s not because they are dumb. Cowardice is probably a factor, but young people (college age and younger) are dumb, and this is a fact (and including myself seeing it emerge). Also a fact is that because of population growth there are more younger people, and because young people have more energy, they can be more politically active. I'm pretty sure we have the most politically active generation ever (but can't back this up, it just seems that way). Then add to this the agreeableness of the masses, that just take everything at face value because they can't be bothered to analyze any of their beliefs, and you get clown world.<p>The majority of people following this ideology haven't examined it in depth. Doing so would show you clearly that the article is not exaggerating one bit. Every single claim is what is happening, but it sounds outrageous (i.e. silence is violence, but violence is peaceful when it furthers the agenda). So the masses are being manipulated, and while cowardice is part of the problem, that only becomes a factor once people have realized what is really going on... and I'm not sure we have reached that point yet.
