There sure seem to be a rash of articles (and posts here of the articles) about how Taiwan's situation is hopeless militarily. This may have always been there, but it seems it took a sharp increase after the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.<p>I grant that the US withdrawal has given grounds for questioning the US's willingness to commit to a foreign policy that requires military action. And I absolutely grant that the US should not go looking for military swamps to wander into and get stuck in, and that the people of the US should rightly resist getting swept up in another push for war.<p>All that said, this is still starting to feel like an orchestrated campaign. And then you wonder who's doing the orchestrating, and there's an obvious guess...
