I was inspired by this and tried creating my own text file, but it seems difficult to be consistent enough in the logging to run statistics on it<p>Also, it would be useful with some syntax for reference to another line and tags. I tried using line number in square bracket for reference, but it&#x27;s not optimal and requires some manual work and attention. And hashtags can be used to define tags, of course, but it quickly becomes complicated<p>I combined this with Tasker for android and RFID tags as shortcuts when I am at the computer

&gt; If a completely context-free self-tracking app exists, I am not aware of it. Every tracking app seems to apply only to a certain narrow topic - often sport or food.<p>I think you need Toggl.
