I think Toyota is doing the right thing for the wrong reasons here. The UAW requirement is absolutely completely unfair, but I don't think that's why they're really doing this. I think they're really doing this so that they can stay competitive with their ICE cars for longer. (Remember, this is the same company who ran the "self-charging" commercials.)
