There is a reason you get completly different art, food, music, clothing, architecture etc in Japan, India, Turkey and Germany. Because during their evolution they barely influenced each other.<p>Software systems on the other hand have evolved, after all these different regions, were much more interconnected. As soon you put out something on the network thats popular, all corners of the world copy it. So you are not going to get the Kimono, Saree, Salwar and Dirndl anymore. Unless you disconnect and sit on a secret islsnd for few hundred years.

There&#x27;s always reactionaries and contrarians, are they just being moderated out of your &quot;bubble&quot;? or have you been trained to ignore anyone who looks as if they might contradict you or your notion of the Hive Mind?<p>Is this &quot;convergence&quot; an actual emergent effect or carefully planned and laboriously implemented?
