I have been seeing the word &quot;cadence&quot; used in technical settings more and more often, usually referring to the pace or rate at which a process is executed (e.g., software releases, data dumps, meetings).<p>What is the etymology&#x2F;origin of this technical sense of &quot;cadence&quot;? (Part of me fears the answer might be Peloton…)
