We are making a video chat app to correct eye contact with a similar approach. This selfie fixer was much easier to release since it runs entirely on the user’s device and requires no expensive servers. We are exploring options to transmit high bandwidth video that do not require expensive servers. WebRTC is pretty involved and not well supported in iOS. It appears peer-to-peer connections through Game Center may be a viable option. Any tips are welcome
Here’s a link to the Selfie Fixer app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/selfie-fixer/id1591484794
