Hi, I am right now doing a market comparison analysis of an international web-property. It's on a .com domain.
In France I see a much lower CTR than compared to the other markets, whereby everything else is pretty comparable.
Is higher CTR on Country TLDs still a thing?
Canadian here - personally it very much depends. If I'm buying something it definitely makes a difference, especially if it's a physical product. The .ca tld tells me that the pricing will be in Canadian dollars, the shipping will probably be reasonable, I won't have to worry about import duty, etc.
For other sites it probably doesn't make a huge difference, but there still may be a slight subconsious bias towards the local tld.
