Transport costs should be a temporary cost. It&#x27;s not nothing, but transition of transportation to EVs will alleviate a lot of the carbon costs listed here.<p>Basically, anything done now to switch off of any power source involved construction (carbon), materials (carbon), and lifecycle costs (carbon).<p>Although it would probably help if we weren&#x27;t using PWR and MASSIVE containment shells and instead had modular LFTRs that don&#x27;t need that.<p>It&#x27;s so hard to talk nuclear, because it&#x27;s so hamstrung by old designs, and the old interests (fuel reprocessors and reactor makers) soooo want to pretend there isn&#x27;t other designs that threaten their current monopolies.
