Long story short: Opened a hosted wallet with Torus (https://toruswallet.io) and opted for a magic-link email account. It's been a week now since I can no longer get access to the wallet (significant amount of ETH) because their mailserver has some kind of misconfiguration in place and doesn't send out login emails. Every other address works, Customer support just sends excuses that they are aware.
