This appears to be SmartOS[0] with lots of automation around it[1]. I for one think it's exciting. The screenshots on the main page and the architecture overview diagram[2] were helpful to get an idea of what this really is. Going through the user guide, I see some exciting features that add to the SmartOS platform. I’ve been thinking for a long time one of the killer features of cloud are the cloud portals that make resources easily consumable. That and the cloud APIs that do the same but for programmatically spinning resources.
