Hasn't that ship already sailed? I thought that the rollout of 5G was already well under way, and now both Boeing and Airbus want to delay 5G activation. The new C-Band services have already been put in place and are due to be switched on in just a few weeks on Jan. 5th, with spectrum adjacent to the airwaves used by radio altimeters to gauge a plane's altitude. So now we have a choice between limiting the power of 5G transmissions near airports (right where there are massive numbers of travelers wanting to use the service), or potentially disrupting flight routes involving more than 6,800 US airplanes in low-visibility conditions.
