Does anyone here actually use Framer on their team? I feel like every product designer I knew was excited and curious when it came out, filling a gap between engineer and designer, but then it just...fizzled.
Figma continues to be the standard across my org overtaking Sketch a little over a year ago.
Very cool. I know I would love to see more 3D elements incorporated into UI. Nothing obnoxious (please no literal parallax scrolling) or impractical (e.g. the fsn 3D file system navigator). More like skeuomorphic UI but with real time lighting and shadows.
I feel react-spring is better suited for the job.
Can’t explain why, tried them both with r3f, i think it’s just about API design and framer starts to fall through once you start connect ing multiple animated nodes with interaction.
If Framer would rewrite one of their demos it would help - https://docs.pmnd.rs/react-three-fiber/getting-started/examp...
Whenever I see a codesandbox embedded viewer, I know it's going to take 20s+ to load... so I don't click it...
Why not just render the 3D example and show sandboxes a bit lower?
