Ask HN: Is MPL a good license for libraries?

2 pointsby generichumanover 3 years ago
It seems better for commercial usage compared to the GPL since it isn't as strict while also guaranteeing the users of the MPL licensed library will share their changes. I'm curious what HN users think of it as a library license.
To people who might suggest LGPL: it is a no-go if you're using a language that's statically linked (Go / Rust) or a dynamic language.
(Info about MPL: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/MPL/2.0/FAQ/)
Additional question, do companies have policies that ban MPL?
