Blockchain/NFTs have no value for ticketing, and they arguably are worse for consumers. The ticketing database is centralized: the event host decides if the ticket is valid or not.<p>So what do they do differently? They allow users to transfer a single ticket without notifying the event host or the host's ticketing platform.<p>That's just going to turn event tickets into an even more speculative market for scalpers than they already were. <i>It improves accessibility and UX for scalpers, not actual fans.</i> That makes tickets artificially rise and probably leads to empty seats. Bad for everyone.
