Interesting timing given the recent global launch of MobileCoin in Signal to allow for private payments.<p><a href="https://www.wired.com/story/signal-mobilecoin-cryptocurrency-payments/" rel="nofollow">https://www.wired.com/story/signal-mobilecoin-cryptocurrency...</a><p>Hopefully this is a positive for the future of that integration - imo privacy in payments is as important as privacy in messaging.<p>I do have some sympathy for the argument that payments should be in a different app, however leveraging Signal's userbase to shift people from Paypal/CCs/etc to a private currency seems worth the risk.
