I am concerned about climate change.
I am alarmed at how impossible it is for America to do anything about it. Both because a 6/10 majority should be able to accomplish something but cannot, and because the 4/10 minority is so aggressively blind to the evidence.
Climate change is a long way off, but we have many other problems facing us today where that same 4/10 minority is both very wrong and very capable of preventing corrective action. That was true before pandemic, but the pandemic is one direct and explicit example, and it's causing the US to fare worse than most other nations.
That's alarming.

The majority of people want something done immediately.
The majority of people are vehemently opposed to paying 5% more for petrol or energy, eating less meat, having smaller houses, flying less or any other actual action.
