At first I thought this would be about pencil and paper RPG games, but looking at the website it is an alternative to RPG Maker, that has characters with a vaguely papery look to them due to use sprites in a 3-Dish setting.
It is written in Qt and produces games that run in Electron. So reasonably multiplatform. It is free if you don't make money with it, it looks like.
It is nice to see a largish project like this that blends Qt and Electron.
This video helped me understand what RPG Paper Maker is about:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z27B25ZXgG4
Not related to RPG Maker on surface, still working in the same field, I can't see this going well once this become fame enough. Does anyone know more regarding this projects' history?
My first impression was something pen&paper, then seeing its software I thought it was some extension for RPG Maker. But as this seems to be some kind of RPG Maker 3D, is this a ripoff that tries to harvest on the name, or is there some real connection on a personal level?
