I'm impressed with the introduction this article gives to the WSB community: the acronyms, the broad thematic views of the financial system. They've captured it extremely well.<p>Through the thick of it, folks spent a great deal about time discussing how our markets are regulated, and how it ought to be. I learned of the existence of the DTCC by reading WSB. The public cares about fair markets. It's a great opportunity to keep working towards that ideal.
There's a lot of delusion among these "stonk" reddits, but also a shining light: The affair has shown many people just how rigged the stock market is against outsiders. The market isn't luck or insight-based. It's basically a group of wealthy individuals using their money to modify the system so they make even more money.
