I really don't have a dog in this fight -- never heard the podcast, don't use Spotify, but, the person who wrote this article (or at least this title) should be embarrassed. The insinuation that the two events are correlated is just a horror to read.<p>People who work at Reuters should feel a collective shame that the editor approved such a flamebait inducing trash article to be published.<p>"Journalistic integrity"...sure...
Im more interested in whether any of Rogan's 'i could do better' apologies make any difference.<p>Im not sure what market or audience there is for sensibility & logic & coherence. Discord & strife & whack sell. Rogan is a pusher. Does Rogan find a way to make sense useful & interesting, or does he water down his show under pressure, or does nothing really change & he remains a profiteer of the fringe?<p>i have little faith or interest i Spotify saying they'll be clearer, take any responsibility. so far they seem like they just are going to slap a disclaimer on shit & call it a day. they have little power in this cultural affair, in my view. that the market handed them this small pass (not a big restoration of value but some) is, in my view, optimistic, is a pretende that this company has any kind of control or hand on the tiller of hotbutton social issues as all.
