The last few weeks I've seen a lot of tools on the front page of Hacker News which work by replacing a part of a URL by some other text. An example is the Hacker News social preview tool which was on the front page today.<p>All these posts on Hacker News had one thing in common: one of the top comments was someone saying that they could never remember which tools are out there.
