If only we had a pipeline from a geographically and ideologically close ally, like say, the Keystone XL pipeline from Canada.
"A planned 1,179-mile (1,897km) pipeline running from the oil sands of Alberta, Canada, to Steele City, Nebraska, where it would join an existing pipe. It could carry 830,000 barrels of oil each day."[1]
One of President Biden's first actions in office was cancelling that very pipeline.[2]
Then amazingly the same president approved Nord Stream 2 that would pump profits into Russia as it was pumping out it's oil.[3]
The cognitive dissonance required to understand these two separate but conflicted actions is mind boggling.
[1] https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-30103078
[2] https://www.theverge.com/2021/1/20/22240466/joe-biden-keysto...
[3] https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-57180674
