It&#x27;s ironic this comes from the IPCC because it (increased anxiety etc) seems like it&#x27;s exactly what the political climate change organizations want<p>We&#x27;ve definitely seen this with covid, people have been driven crazy with fear due to media and politicians trying to get people to pay attention to them, and not caring who gets caught up in the fear mongering.<p>We need a better rational approach to address challenges without trying to frame everything as an existential crisis. Such framing has a real negative effect on people . It polarizes, and it makes some people to nuts. And iy doesn&#x27;t actually help solve the problem.

No, temperatures rising a few degrees over a hundred years do not directly affect mental health. The actual mental health threat is exaggerated fears of the impact of climate change that movements named &quot;Extinction Rebellion&quot; have created.

Couldn&#x27;t one say that many of those same concerns and afflictions could be caused by overpopulation (which could be a root cause of global warming as well)?
