Military action in radioactive Chernobyl could be dangerous for people

I read somewhere that this is EXACTLY why Russian encamped there: Ukraine would be crazy to attack them there: radioactive shields.

I'll be honest. I did not realize that Chernobyl is only about 90 kilometers (60 miles) north of Kyiv.
