Hey HN crowd! Lets think ahead and without getting dramatic, many researches foresee huge food shortages around the world and even famine (I can remember reading this often in the history of human kind - but who knows).
So lets say globalisation and trade is gowing down or disrubted, which country is the best to reside in to grow enough food for oneself and which country is best placed to feed its own population?

Anywhere not in the equatorial band with a stable government.
And have money.
That means:
- Canada
- New Zealand
- EU
- Chile
- China (if you don't mind totalitarian states)
- South Korea
- USA (only for the next 10 years or so)
- Possibly Thailand (a bit iffy, but great if it works out)
