"Our conclusion, in consultation with those experts, is that Russia needs more Internet access, not less."
♥

> However, when what Cloudflare is fundamentally providing is a more open, private, and secure Internet, we believe that shutting down Cloudflare's services entirely in Russia would be a mistake.
Good. Seems like Cloudflare is taking the sensible approach by targeting the sanctions at certain individuals rather than a blanket ban and still staying on the side of ICANN, RIPE, EFF on not revoking all services within Russia as they 'need more internet access, not less'.

This is a disgrace. The Russian government is already blocking access to free independent media on their own. What Cloudflare services are now protecting are propoganda outlets, Russian financial institutions, and governmental organizations. And the argument that they've cut off paid access to their network is BS. More Russian sites are instituting Cloudflare protection by the day. This is not about protecting a "free open internet" it's about taking advantage of a situation to maximize profit while it's still legal. I am amazed services like this haven't been added to the list of sanctioned banned exports as it serves nothing but to assist the enemy. And Russia is undeniably an enemy of the United States. As an American company Cloudflare should be ashamed of themselves and their war profiteering while Ukrainian children are bombed into oblivion.

Stop protecting Russian killers. All media sources shootdown in Russia, who are you protection? Russian banks, FSB, military? You have no shame and put your profit ahead of your duty. Follow Microsoft, Oracle

Looks like I’ll be transferring my domains back to Namecheap. Such a shame to see a weak response from Cloudflare.

Thank you so much for doing this. People need to recognize that one of the main reasons Russians support this is because they REALLY have heard nothing else than Putin's propaganda, given that ALL free media is practically destroyed in the past decade. This information "vacuum" is hard to imagine if you live in a democratic country.

Excellent and very reassuring for us, the customers.
I was wondering about CF's attitude as I've been increasing my use of CF services.
