Also, when do I get my check for all the housework and childcare I do, not to mention mechanic, handyman, accountant, etc work?<p>Putting things in these terms is not productive. Balance of labor needs to be worked out for each unique couple/situation. I don't see a good economic case for introducing payments that would disincentivise labor participation in today's environment.
