I tried to understand the point but failed. From the article:
"In brief, Crisan, chief technology officer of Netopia Payments, convinced the scammer to install a Lightning Network (LN) wallet, as he only deals with “LN assets.” So, Fake John installed a Bitcoin LN wallet, Blue Wallet. However, instead of sending Fake John the money, Crisan sent a message saying “Eat shit you fucking scammer!”"
So the installation of the LN wallet was totally unrelated to the purported "retribution" to the scammer, which only consisted of telling him off?
"Justice was duly served — all while providing a free lesson in how to use Bitcoin LN."
In what way was justice served, other than the rude sentence? Something I assume scammers get all the time and likely couldn't care less about, given that they would not scam in the first place if they cared about what potential victims think of them?

I like how Bitcoin's answer to scalability concerns is so bad that getting a scammer to use it is considered revenge.
