Yikes. I love Overcast and regularly recommend it but I feel like that new playlist UI (at the top of the home page) sticks out like a sore thumb. I'm sure it will grow on me but it just don't fit with the rest of the UI IMHO.
The playlists feel out of place and their UI isn't reflected anywhere else in the design, as in no other element has that pill-shape/high-border-radius and/or playful colors (aside from the new tint-colors for playback controls. The rest of the changes are fine but and I'll admit that the old playlist list was boring/plain but this could have been fixed by just adding an icon or a composite icon of some of the podcast art contained in the playlist.
At the end of the day it doesn't really matter much since I never spend more than a minute or two looking at Overcast UI, I hit play and then lock my phone or go do something else.
