Do you think remote working has made decision between Consistency and Availability any different?<p>Is it now easier to be consistent because of conversations happening online, which facilitates usage of tools like slack, gong? (maybe before remote working and these tools, consistency was much harder to have).<p>Is consistency even more important in a remote setting? If you prioritsed availability in a remote setting, there would be even less consistency than before remote working (due to less corridor catchups, informal context sharing etc.)
"due to everyone’s context-awareness, we’ll also be able to encourage autonomy, rigorous debate, and avoid knowledge silos"<p>This lack of data siloing must also boost everyone's productivity. In the work-from-home world, the ability to answer question quickly without colleague input is essential. No need to wait around for someone to rely to your direct-message slack when you can just find the relevant email or check the gong recording
