Who teaches Weiqi in the holistic way that Josh Waitzkin teaches chess?

2 pointsby arturo40about 3 years ago
Josh Waitzkin teaches chess based on general principles of sports psychology in, e.g., The Art of Learning, Attacking Chess: Aggressive Strategies, Inside Moves from the U.S. Junior Chess Champion and the chess computer program Chessmaster: Grandmaster Edition by Josh Waitzkin.
Is there an author who teaches Weiqi/Baduk/Go using a similar style?

Not that I've seen (I've read a lot of chess books, and a lot of Go books). Go is a bigger game - you can't teach it in the way you can chess.
The problem of deciding what the biggest move is in Go goes way beyond the challenge in chess, where you have sets of potential lines that are completely decided by what's on the board. So you can't say "be aggressive, go after this or that".
