Ask HN: Why music copyright violation is more concerning than video or image?

1 pointsby niksmacabout 3 years ago
I was doing some research on the Digital Assets NFT angle and saw that there are projects just talking about the copyright violation of Music not much of Movies or Digital drawings per se. Is there any technical reason to it or am I missing something?

Music is reused per license everywhere. There is music in videos and movies, but not vice versa. The market for tracking copyright-violations in music is just significantly larger. That market also exists for still images, but is much more niche.<p>Also: NFTs are still a thing? Hasn&#x27;t the entire world realized that the entire economy of NFTs consists of scammers and rugpulls?
