Proof that 22/7 exceeds π

The integral of 1&#x2F;(1+x^2) is tan^{-1} so it&#x27;s not surprising to see π somewhere in the result, but I <i>really</i> want to know why&#x2F;how they choose this integral. Does it has some graphical explanation of why this should be greater but similar to π? Is that related to the polygon with 96 sides?
