It is astonishing how almost every democratic parliament failed their constituents to ensure basic protections most citizens allegedly enjoy under their respective constitutions. This isn't just a small oversight, this is basic and fundamental requirement to defend democracy.<p>So why complain now? Almost every parliament sanctioned surveillance, so why even have the impudence to complain that people are getting surveilled. It is the standard that the same parliaments established in the first place.
