Despite the punchy title (as usual), this is a good and nuanced discussion of the issue. Highly recommended.<p>Personally, I feel that the &quot;opposition to opposition&quot; is less of a problem than Gelman thinks, mainly because (a) these people will die out (literally, at some point), and (b) I believe (and hope) that professionalization in science is a ratchet. Once the knowledge is out (e.g. on power, replication crisis etc.), it doesn&#x27;t go back in the genie&#x27;s bottle.
