> California Senate candidate Dan O’Dowd will not talk about taxes. Or homelessness. Or climate change. Or inflation. Or housing. Or jobs. All he will talk about is how much he hates Tesla’s self-driving cars and the existential threat computers pose to humanity.
Could he be trying to protect the car industry? Because if we have self-driving cars parked everywhere, we might not need to own cars anymore...

This guy managed to socially short the only billionaire that you can actually short on financial markets and there is lots of liquidity.
Whatever you think about Musk he's the only celebrity/cult-figure on which people can bet in droves and that includes the possibility of profiting from his downfall or rise.
People who speculated on Johnny Depp downfall or Harvey Weinstein or Jack Nicholson...they had no way to make money off of that.
Not even elections are as direct because one has to unpack the policies and assign a probability of the candidate keeping their promises.
If you think the tide will turn against Musk this billionaire Dowd should just short Tesla

If I had a choice between AP Teslas and non-AP drivers on 880 or the 101, I would pick Tesla.
