Just don’t put <i>anything</i> on line that you don’t want the whole world to know. The governments will know (tech or legal), the crackers will know and given lax security and hasty development, it can easily be leaked as a side effect.<p>Talk to your medical or financial people directly and consider boring things like pads of paper. Don’t buy anything “politically sensitive” on line as it’s all being tabulated. Think cash or take some steps to obfuscate the sales. There are cash bounties being offered in the us for “biological information” so keep that in mind.<p>And any of the open hackers (still) on HN, how about apps that can be used by people with direct communication handheld to desktop&#x2F;laptop that does <i>not</i> go through a server (a-&gt;b rather than a-&gt;net-&gt;b?<p>Remember the cell networks always know where you are…. The packets are routed.
