Why are there pronouns in a Google VR video?

Those glasses look really nice. Much nicer than the original Google glass.<p>Also, I guess the last few years of learning Mandarin have been a complete waste - 不太好了！

This feels like the twilight zone. It’s not like we use to make sure the viewer knew what gender the person speaking was. What is this for?
