SaaS = displacement of the balance of power between a software company and its clients. If a client does not pay its rent, the software is shut down and the data is jailed on the servers. Super powerful control over "rogue" companies/people (students would be a target of choice).<p>They just need to make sure standalone application software becomes garbage or sabotage them cuningly, that to push companies(/people) to engage with them.<p>Just "update" the horribly complex file formats in the SaaS and not in the standalone application and done.<p>Who said microsoft office767 via only apple webkit or google blink?!<p>...<p>Wow, it feels dirty.
