Eike from the KDE community here - thanks to whoever submitted this!
Kdenlive is of our most popular applications, having made great strides in maturity and depth of functionality in the last couple of years.
Unfortunately the Kdenlive team has been having persistent issues with fraud of this type for over a year now. Several instances of people buying SEO keywords including the app's name and then pushing more or less subtly relabeled versions, outright malware, and even identity theft in the form of impersonating members of the dev team on the fake sites. It's very difficult to combat effectively and burns a lot of energy.
The Lightmoon website appears to be mostly copied from the Kdenlive web site. And the downloads page has Kdenlive in the
...
Official Kdenlive site (good): https://kdenlive.org
Lightmoon site (bad, don't download from here): https://lightmoon.studio
Reported to DDG, fwiw
But have to say, with just "lightmoon" it was not on first page. Had to add "studio" as other comment mentioned to find it. So maybe the downranked it already. Take that google! :D
