Ugh. They're getting rid of the names under contacts in Messages.app?
I'm sure it looks very nice when everyone has a custom icon, but I'd wager that's rarely the case in the real world.
Apple's UIs communicate less and less with each release. It's like their design philosophy is "simple as possible and then just keep going."
EDIT: Withdrawn. -- The photo in the Accessibility section shows it expanded. Why they didn't show it that way in the Messages section is beyond me.
“Buddy Controller: Team up with a friend or care provider while gaming.”
I’m so confused. Is this a politically correct way of saying parent or a feature designed for the sick / handicapped?
Finally a solution to shared family photo albums, and still no solution on how to back it up.
I was seriously hoping for an integrated way to backup iCloud contents locally. Considering that most entry level macs has about 1/10 the storage of the large iCloud plans, synchronizing data locally is not a viable solution for backups.
This seems a very poor effort.
A huge increase in system requirements for modest changes.
Stage Manager is hopeless. Like I have no idea what they were thinking.
Metal continues to fiddle while developers for MacOS abandon it and the platform at scale.
Meanwhile there's still no snapping for useful window management, virtualisation is an afterthought, there's still no Windows story for the M1/M2, the M1/M2 has terrible monitor support, the UI padding is still too high and there's no coherent gaming story (because that requires Apple to swallow their pride and accept Vulcan, or even better to built a Proton-esque compatibility layer and fix the core missing Metal features that make such a thing difficult today).
